The Gulfstream G650 redefined the ultra-long-range class when it entered service in 2012, combining exceptional speed with a very large cabin. The G650ER, or Extended Range, followed in 2014 with the ability to fly some of the longest city pairs in the world nonstop. It remains one of the fastest and longest-range business jets available.
The G650 first flew in November 2009 and entered service in December 2012, with the extended-range G650ER following in 2014. Power comes from two Rolls-Royce BR725 engines paired with the PlaneView II flight deck, and the aircraft holds more than 90 speed and distance records, including a Singapore to Tucson flight of over 8,300 nautical miles.
The cabin is among the widest in business aviation, with 16 panoramic windows and up to four living areas, seating up to 19 and sleeping up to 10. It carries the lowest cabin altitude in its class at 4,060 feet, and roughly 500 G650 and G650ER aircraft have been built, making it Gulfstream’s defining ultra-long-range success.
