History

The Phenom 300 entered service in 2009 and quickly became one of the world’s best selling light jets, holding the top spot for many years running. The 300E is the enhanced version, with a refreshed cabin, updated avionics and, in its latest form, a higher top speed and greater range. It pairs jet comfort with the running costs of a smaller aircraft.

The Phenom 300 prototype first flew in April 2008 and the type earned certification in December 2009. The enhanced 300E arrived in 2018, and a further upgrade certified in 2020 brought Pratt and Whitney Canada PW535E1 engines and a Mach 0.80 top speed. It has been the most delivered light jet for well over a decade, with more than 900 in service worldwide.

Power comes from two rear mounted PW535E1 turbofans, flown behind Embraer’s Prodigy Touch flight deck, which is built on the Garmin G3000 touchscreen system and certified for single pilot operation. The flat floor cabin measures roughly 4 feet 11 inches tall, so passengers sit rather than stand, and it carries an enclosed private lavatory at the rear. It sits at the top of Embraer’s light jet range, below the midsize Praetor family.

FAQ

How many passengers can it carry? 7 to 9 in a typical layout.

What trips suit it best? Trips of up to about three hours.

How much does it cost to charter per hour? As a guide, around USD 3,000 to 4,500 per hour, depending on the route, dates and operator. Aaliya Jets always quotes the real operator price, with no hidden markup.

Is there an enclosed toilet? Yes, there is an enclosed private lavatory at the rear of the cabin, and an optional belted seat can turn it into an extra seat.

Can I stand up in the cabin? No, the cabin stands about 4 feet 11 inches tall, so passengers are seated for the flight rather than standing, though the flat floor keeps it comfortable.

How far can the Phenom 300E fly? It has a range of close to 2,010 nautical miles, which comfortably covers routes such as Dubai to much of Europe or India with a light load.

Can I reach my bags during the flight? The main baggage hold is external and loaded from outside, so it is not reachable in flight, though a small internal area near the galley is accessible.

Can it use smaller airports? Yes, its short field performance lets it use restricted airports such as London City that many light jets cannot serve.
