The Falcon 8X is Dassault’s three-engine ultra-long-range flagship, entering service in 2016 as a longer-range development of the 7X. Its three engines and long, quiet cabin allow it to fly demanding routes and reach challenging airports. It is the longest-range aircraft in the Falcon family.
The Falcon 8X first flew on 6 February 2015 and entered service in 2016. It is a three-engined development of the Falcon 7X, powered by three Pratt and Whitney PW307D engines and offering a range of about 6,450 nautical miles, the longest in the Falcon line at its launch.
The trijet layout supports steep approaches and short-field performance that many twins cannot match, and the aircraft uses Dassault’s digital flight controls with the Honeywell-based EASy flight deck. Its cabin is the longest of Dassault’s trijets, giving flexible three-zone layouts.
