The Citation M2 entered service in 2013 as an approachable entry-level light jet, drawing on Cessna’s long CitationJet lineage. It offers genuine jet speed and comfort for short trips at modest running costs, and is often owner-flown. It sits at the entry point of the Citation jet range.
The Citation M2 is the entry point to Cessna’s light jet range and first flew in 2012, earning certification in 2013. It effectively replaced the earlier CitationJet as a modern, single pilot capable jet, pairing a refreshed cabin with contemporary avionics while keeping the easy handling the Citation line is known for.
Power comes from two Williams International FJ44-1AP-21 turbofans, and the flight deck is built around the Garmin G3000 with touchscreen controllers. The cabin seats up to six passengers with a dropped aisle for extra headroom, and a belted flushing lavatory is fitted at the very rear of the aircraft.
