The Global 6500 is a re-engined, updated version of the Global 6000, announced in 2018 with greater range and a redesigned cabin. It flies some of the longest routes in business aviation with room for a large group in comfort. It sits just below the flagship Global 7500.
The Global 6500 first flew on 31 January 2018 and was certified by Transport Canada in 2019, entering service later that year. It is a re-engined evolution of the Global 6000, powered by two Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines that improve fuel efficiency and extend range while retaining the proven Global airframe.
The flight deck is Bombardier’s Global Vision suite with fly-by-wire controls. The cabin runs to around 43 feet in length and offers a four-zone layout, typically a club suite, a conference and dining area, a private stateroom and an en-suite that can be configured with a shower.
