History

The Global 6000 entered service in 2012 as an updated Global Express, offering intercontinental range with a very large, three-zone cabin. It became a mainstay of the ultra-long-range market. It was later joined by the re-engined Global 6500.

The Global 6000 entered service in 2012 as the rebranded and upgraded successor to the Global Express XRS, adding an extra fuel tank at the wing root to extend range. It is powered by two Rolls-Royce BR710 engines and uses the Bombardier Vision flight deck based on Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics.

The cabin is among the largest of any purpose-built business jet, arranged in three sections and seating up to 19. The Global 6000 sits above the Global 5000 in Bombardier’s family, pairing that wide cabin with a genuine intercontinental range.
