History

The Challenger 650 is the latest in Bombardier’s Challenger 600 series, a widebody design that has been in continuous production and refinement since the 1980s. Entering service in 2015, it offers one of the widest cabins in its class along with updated engines and avionics. It is a proven, comfortable large jet for transcontinental travel.

The Challenger 650 was announced in 2014 and entered service in 2015 as the latest evolution of Bombardier’s long-running Challenger 600 series, with NetJets as launch customer. It refined the proven widebody airframe with more powerful engines and an updated cabin rather than a clean-sheet design.

Power comes from two General Electric CF34-3B engines, and the flight deck uses Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics. The cabin offers around 6 feet of headroom across an almost 8 foot wide flat floor, with a rear enclosed lavatory, and delivers up to 4,000 nautical miles of range with typical loads.
